Crisp Lock Stamp: U.S. R.Johnson, Midddn CT, 1844, Middletown Conn. The gun is in excellent condition with super solid action. It has an overall brown mixed with some gray finish. The wood has a small chip as noted in the photo...but overall the wood is otherwise in excellent condition. Grips are excellent. All original, no cleaning, sanding, varnish, etc. Left side stock has two clear inspector cartouches. . Well kept for 185 years old. It is attic find condition. Bore most likely could need cleaning. Hinged lever works fine. There is some powder corrosion pitting on the top of breech from early firing of flintlock prior to conversion to percussion......which is common. Otherwise, maybe some very small handling marks. Buyer pays 25.00 insurance and shipping. Honoring 3 day inspection.
