Description:

SOLD via Guns International !  I have many others for sale though.
I have a M1 Carbine manufactured by Winchester serial number 1296254 that is in excellent condition.  The correct Winchester produced stock is a oval oiler slot dark walnut high wood stock with matching hand guard.  The wood has no cracks or flaws.  Check the pictures.  The sling well is W stamped as is the hand guard. The right side of the butt stock has W.R.A. over G.H.D. and Cross Cannon Cartouche ahead.  All of the metal parts that in this rifle including the barrel are correct for the production date, serial number, production block, part type, and design specifications mandated by the U.S. Ordnance Department.  The metal parts have surprisingly closely maintained their original finishes. Included are Olive Drab ORIGINAL SLING, ORIGINAL OILER, and ORIGINAL BUTT STOCK DUAL MAGAZINE POUCH.  The  zippered carry case and field manual are high quality reproductions.
For the metal parts of my carbine Winchester made identification stamping easy.  All of the manufacturer stamped metal parts of this Winchester are simply stamped with a W with the exception of the Rear Sight which has a large S on its left side, the oiler is stamped IS, and the barrel has two proof marks and flaming bomb stamps.  Several metal parts are CORRECT, BUT NOT STAMPED but can be verified by description, dimensions, and/or photographs. The parts of my rifle has been verified correct by using Roger Larson's book "M1 Carbine - Comprehensive Guide". There are several other reliable reference guides for M1 Carbines, but I wanted to stay with one source for what I feel to be accurate and consistent.  If you would like a verification of the parts in my M1 Carbine I have two different styles of data sheetsand many pictures I can email you.
BUYING LESSON :  When you buy a rifle from anyone don't take their word that all the parts are "correct".  I recently replaced the barrel on this rifle with a new old stock original Winchester barrel because in the ad posting there was a W stamped in the correct place behind the front sight but I faliled to make sure it had two more proof marks further down the barrel, a flaming bomb stamping above the gas block, a long barrel skirt, and the integrated gas block.  The replacement barrel is totally correct as evidenced by the pictures.  Also, if the seller can't provide a picture of the bore showing the riflings and lands, then don't buy it.  You be the judge.
This rifle is being sold in compliance with all state and federal firearms sales and shipping regulations.  Buyer pays actual shipping cost and optional insurance to the currently valid FFL of your choice or a valid C&R Certificate holder within the 48 contiguous states.  This rifle is being sold with no expressed or implied warranties.  Method of payment accepted is USPS Money Orders or mutually approved method.  Thank you for your interest.
