This Colt was produced in 1956. The pistol's serial number is 7879 SA. The factory letter states that this Colt was shipped to Freeland Scope Stand Co. Rock Island Illinois on November 30th 1956. It has the 5 1/2 inch barrel. The bore is near mint. The chambers are also in fine condition. There is a light drag line between the cylinder stops. The original bluing would rate a 98% overall. The original color cased finish would rate a 98% overall condition. The hard rubber grips are serial numbered to this pistol. These grips are in new condition. The action works perfectly and locks up tight. The action has not been tampered with and still has the strong main spring. The trigger release is crisp! This Colt shows very light use. Mostly being handled than fired. This is a high condition first year production Colt that has the original box. The box is in fine condition, The serial number is properly placed on the box bottom. There is a brush with the box but no papers. The gold label is intact on the box end. This is a very Collectable Colt Single Action Army that has the factory letter and original box.
