This Pistol was produced between 1888 to 1911. The pistol's serial number is 669. This pistol has the matching serial number on the frame and barrels. It is chambered for the 41 Short Rim Fire cartridge. This model Remington pistol is called the Second Model. It has the Remington Arms Co. Ilion N.Y. On the top of the barrel rib. The original nickel plating is fully intact. The plating would rate a 97% and better. The original pearl grips are in fine condition with no issues. These grips fit this pistol perfectly and are original to this pistol. The hinge has no damage or cracks. The niter blued parts retain most of the bluing. The action works perfectly with no issues. The bores have very fine rifling intact. The English proofs are Birmingham Black Powder proofs With the Crown And BP below the Crown. Each barrel is proofed and the frame also has the proof. This is a historically interesting and not commonly seen pistol with these proof marks. Very few American Made pistols ever came back from England. These pistols saw hard use and wear.
