#5701, Neumann et Co, Liege, Belgique: A Neumann Belgium 10 Bore 3 1/2" Magnum Built in 1953, 36" (3 Feet) Ejector Dovetail Lump Barrels with Rib Extension Cross Bolt Plus a Third Bite, Solid concave matted rib, .778 .035 & .036" (Imp.Mod. & Imp.Mod.), Original 3 1/2" chambers, Wall thickness on the right barrel at .052" & .051" on the left, Correct bore size at proof, Barrel weight KG 2,571, Side clip action body, Double triggers, Scalloped action back, Bolstered frame, Auto safety, Splinter forend with a frontal Anson release, The forend is 12" long, Pistol grip stock at 14 11/16 x 1 1/2 x 2 5/8" over a 7/8" Silvers pad, Proper 10 Bore weight at 10 lbs. 14 oz., 35% coverage of scroll engraving, Fairly decent piece of wood that is as stout as day one, It retains an honest and original case colors of 99% and the breech face has 99% original colors left, The barrels with original blue at 95%, The stock with original finish at 96%, The checkering is 99%, A very strong set of barrels inside and out with bores that are 100%, The striking on the outside of the barrels is excellent. This is a very nice solid 10 Bore Ejector that remains in excellent factory condition and remains as tight as new.
Neumann was in business in Liege, Belgium from 1863 until 1957. They exported several of their guns to the U. S. and in 1953 this 10 bore piece retailed for about $375.00
