Description:
Antique Sharps Conversion of Civil War Single Shot Percussion Carbine to functional Breech-Loading Centerfire Cartridge Carbine, SN #73346, .50-70 CF cal., 22'' round barrel with 6-groove rifling, pinned blade front sight and adjustable leaf rear, steel furniture. Two-piece oil-finished walnut stocks. When this carbine was converted and refinished (ca. 1867) at the Sharps Rifle Mfg. Co. factory, all markings but for the serial number were obliterated. Condition is good, showing a brownish gunmetal gray patina with scattered pitting and roughness to metal parts. Stocks are sound, showing the expected nicks and dings of military use and storage; left side inlet for sling ring plate removed, likely at time of conversion.

Action functions normally. Bore is good with visable riflings. Carbine converted to .50-70 Government in 1867. Has cartridge ejector. See photos.

Zelle, cashiers check, money order, personal check accepted. Layaway possible.
