This Ithaca NID No. 2 Grade SxS Shotgun was made by the Ithaca Gun Company in Ithaca, New York in 1940. The NID No. 2 Grade incorporates a walnut checkered pistol grip stock with black hard rubber grip cap and Ithaca logo marked hard rubber buttplate. This vintage design also features a walnut checkered splinter forearm with friction release, fluid steel barrels with matted rib and bead front sight, and extractors, and barrels marked on flats with Ithaca choke codes "4" and "2" for Full and Modified. Case hardened Boxlock frame depicts bird imagery and scrolled No. 2 style engraving. This valuable shotgun also has double triggers and an automatic safety.
