Good to very good overall condition sporting original finishes. Barrels retain 20% faded original blue with strong traces of case color remaining in protected areas. Chamber: 2 - 3/4" Choke: Full and Full. Drop at Comb: 1 - 3/4" Drop at Heel: 2 - 1/2" Length of Pull: 13 - 5/8" with ejectors. Frame 2, weight 7 lbs, 14 oz.
The Parker DHE SxS 12-gauage Shotgun sets the standard for vintage American double guns. Of the 5 most prestigious pre-WWII shotgun manufactures, Parker certainly remains the most sought-after of the bunch. Known for an obsessive attention to detail with tight wood to metal seams, intricately applied checkering, and displaying some of the finest filed frames ever produced. The hand-engraved depictions of bird dogs on each side of the receiver, and birds in mid-flight engraved on the bottom, are complimented by delicate scrollwork along the breech and receiver. The ivory double bead sights are placed on top of twin barrels of Titanic Steel marked on top with the Parker Brothers Connecticut address. This shotgun also features a red rubber recoil pad, smooth walnut stock and forend with diamond checkering, and a neutral-colored Parker Brothers grip cap.
