Manufactured in 1917, this Parker Bros Shotgun is one of only 1258 "SC" Grades ever produced and helped Parker Bros set the standard for double guns from the pre-WWII era. The brand's prestige is on full display with this Single-Barrel "SC" Grade Trap Gun, featuring a black, vented Larry Del Grego & Son recoil pad, smooth, dark walnut straight-grip stock and tapered beavertail forend bearing illustrious checkering patterns and a glossed finish, a color casehardened receiver with immaculate scrollwork extending to the trigger guard, upper and lower tang, and breech lever, and contours mimicking the shape of the checkering just behind the receiver. The scrollwork is indicative of Parker Bros' early designs, as well as the single trigger and lack of safety. The left and right sides of the receiver are marked "Parker Bros" among all the artful engravings which are also featured on the forend release latch. Double ivory bead sights sit atop the 32" blued barrel marked with the Parker Brothers Connecticut address.
