Description:
This is a very nice and hard to fine Winchester 1886 rifle on .45-70 Govt. The rifle has a 26" octagon barrel with front and rear Winchester express sights. The barrel blue is excellent with just a touch of edge wear on the sharp edges. The blue receiver has a few minor scratches on the bottom and some flaking not wear on the sides. The lever has some remaining case color. The walnut stock is in very good condition with a few frontier marks and thinning finish on the forearm. There is limited blue on the crescent butt plate with strong blue on the hammer and trigger. This fine rifle was made in 1915 and is a great example of a high condition classic Winchester rifle. .45-70 Government

Chambers: Lever action repeater.
Metal Condition: Very good with some minor edge wear on the sharp edges and some flaking on the receiver. Not wear but finish flaking. Some case color remains on the lever.
Wood Condition: Very good with a few frontier dings and dents.
Bore Condition: Like new.
Barrels: 26" Octagon with a blue finish.
Triggers: Single blue.
Stock Dimensions:
13 3/8" LOP.
Fore End: Nice straight grain walnut with a steel cap.
Butt Pad: Matching straight grain walnut with good contrasting grain and a crescent butt .

Sights: 1 standing and 2 folding Winchester Express rear and a Winchester Express front sight.
