Argentine military pistol. This model bears the unground argentine crest on the right sideplate specifically for the province of Buenos Aires. The vast amount of imported 1905 Argentine crested pistols had the crest filed or ground. This is a rare pistol that escaped the import defacement . This grinding off of the crest was done in Argentina as the government required this when the pistols were exported. This practice was commonplace for many countries to ensure they could not be reissued. A rare unground Mannlicher in excellent condition.
