Description:
Sauer Model 202 Supreme Lux Magnum bolt-action rifle in 375 Holland & Holland with 24” barrel and 14” LOP. The rifle weighs 8lbs 11 oz and has beautiful bluing and wood, with an ultra-smooth action. This is a great all-around African safari rifle.
While this is not the official takedown model, the rifle easily and quickly breaks down for easy transport with no effect on point of impact upon reassembly. The tool for the stock and forend removal is included, along with the original manual and quick-detach sling swivels. In addition, a hard-to-find spare 375 H&H magazine also comes with this rifle. This model also incorporates an interchangeable barrel system, and can be outfitted with additional magnum calibers and associated magazines – 7 different calibers were originally available. These rifles were imported between 1994 and 2004.
Note that following a comment from a PH I hunted with on Africa - ‘that rifle is shiny’ - upon return the gloss finish was removed from the stock and an oil finish applied with an African Blackwood custom grip cap insert with Sauer & Sohn logo. This rifle is in great condition with some signs of use; one minor blemish in bluing on left side of action - see last photo.
This gun is supplied with Talley bases and the buyer’s choice of either 1” or 30mm quick-release Talley scope rings. Rifle is $2300 plus shipping.
