SAVAGE 1917 RARE .380 ACP AUTO PISTOL, #26025, MADE 1925-1927. Only a little over 14,000 of these fine hammer pocket pistols were made between 1920-1928. All .380 caliber Savage auto pistols are difficult to locate as many more of each model were made in .32 ACP. The Model 1917 was Savage's last model and all were factory finished in a dull blue-black finish as opposed to the high polish blue put on earlier models. This is an excellent example retaining almost all of the original finish with maybe the smallest touch of muzzle wear/edge wear. Grips are excellent, bore is bright and it retains the original .380 CAL marked magazine. One of the finest pre-war auto pistols ever produced and this is an excellent example.
