HITLER'S GARAND, WALTHER K-43 CAL 8MM, SER. 4876. THIS IS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF THE VERY LATE WAR K-43. THE CASTINGS ARE QUITE CRUDE AS THE FINISHES WERE RATHER POOR THEN. THIS GUN HAS RETAINED ABOUT 80% 0F THE ORIGINAL FINISH. ALL NUMBERS MATCH AND HAVE THE PROPER WAFFENAMTS. THE CORRECT LAMINATED WOODSTOCK AND HANDGUARD HAVE ABOUT 45% OF THE ORIGINAL LACQUER THE SURFACE ON THE LEFT SIDE SHOWS SOME SMALL AREA OF FLAKING BUT THAT IS UNDER THE LACQUER AND WAS PROBABLY CONSIDERED USABLE. THE LEFT SIDE ALSO HAS THE INITIALS "FA" LIGHTLY CARVED IN IT, THE RIGHT SIDE HAS AN "R" AND HIS FRAU'S NAME, "S.EMILIA". HOWEVER THER ARE NO SPLITS OR DINGS IN ANY OF THE WOODS PARTS.. THE BORE IS REALLY NICE, QUITE BRIGHT WITH SHARP WELL DEFINED RIFLING AND SOME LIGHT SCATTERED FROST. IT COMES WITH ONE PROPERLY MARKED K-43 STAMPED MAGAZINE, THIS IS A GREAT FIND FOR THE COLLECTOR, SHOOTER THAT DOESN'T WANT TO MORTGAGE THE FARM TO GET A NICE SHOOTING EXAMPLE OF "HITLER'S GARAND...MODESTLY PRICED ....$3495.***
