Smith Corona was contracted by the U.S. War Department to produce 1903A3s from October of 1942 to February of 1944. Smith Corona produced a smaller percentage of 1903A3s and is especially sought after by collectors. The rifle is in its original military configuration with inspector cortouche marks. Metal is fine with the stock having normal handiling marks, but very clean. This 1903A3 is an extremely fine example of battle carried WWII rifle.
