Description:
27 inch curved blade, 7-1/2" panel at the base engraved and etched with conventional florals and one rudimentary panoply. Single silver brass stirrup hilt; knucklebow slotted for the sword knot. Black leather scabbard in fine condition with silver finish over the brass parts. Overall VG condition with mottled gray metal showing some very minor pitting. Base of the blade retains just slight traces of blue and gilted finish, hilt retains 60-70% silver plate; fine grip. Scabbard is scuffed but sound, mounts retains much silver plate. Very fine old sword.
