Model 1898 U.S. krag rifle. Has a 30"" round army barrel with good bore and strong rifling. Correct sling swivels and buttplate. The stock has been nicely sporterized with a pistol grip, checkering, and schnabel tip. The barrel has nearly all its blue. The receiver shows much of its case coloring and the trigger guard, buttplate, and bands are a smooth brown patina. Add the correct stock and handguard, and you will have a very nice model 1898 U.S. krag infantry rifle. All the parts, except the stock, are correct.
