Description:
Early Winchester Model 1873 rifle made in 1876 that features a 24 inch round barrel chambered in 44 WCF and full length mag tube with rifle style butt. Over 50% original blue remains on the receiver with some silver/grey at the high points. Barrel and mag tube have thinning original blue turning plum in areas. Original sights include a German silver blade front and the correct early style rear. Original thumb print dust cover. Good traces of case color remain on the hammer and lever. Crisp action and a good shiny bore with deep rifling. Walnut stocks are in good condition with a few light handling mars. This is a very good example of an early Winchester and would look good in any collection.
