Description:
This unusual and highly desirable pistol has been professionaly restored and is in excellent condition. The bore has strong rifling with some frosting. Original grips are outstanding. Magazine is the correct type for this second variation pistol with a spur projecting from the front of the base. This spur is used in field strip the pistol. The magazine serial number does not match the pistol.
The Jager is almost always and incorrectly described as being made from stamped sheet metal. Actually the side plates are made from 0.10 inch steel plate giving it a very strong almost hefty feel. Of the approximately 13,000 Jager pistols made, 2,000 went to the German military and have two military acceptance stamps on left side of the pistol as this one does.
