This Carbine's barrel date is 8-43. The Inland's serial number is 773964. The Inland barrel is in minty condition. This includes the bore. All of the parts are correct inland parts for the serial number range and date of production.The reciever was made by Saginaw Gear for Inland to help speed up production. Saginaw Gear is also a division of General Motors. This carbine is in wonderful condition! The parts retain all of the original finish. The flat blued bolt retains almost all of the bluing! The oval cut high wood stock retains all of the wood finish. The handguard is in the same condition. The sling and oiler are correct World War 2 issue and are in new condition. The stock and handguard codes are very sharp and clear. The type one barrrel band is also correctly coded. The buttplate is also in minty condition. The front sight is properly coded with the "N". The rear sight is the correct flip sight. The magazine is also Inland coded. To find M1 carbines in this fine of condition is a real find for the collector! Inland Division Of General Motors was known to produce one of the best carbines of the Ten producers of carbines. This carbine is a prime example of these Inlands!
