2nd generation 3rd Mdl Dragoon manufactured in 1978, one of only 52 to represent each state plus the USA and Wash.DC.
This one is for the state of Hawaii, the 50th state to be joined to the Union in 1959 and the last one produced. This gun
is extremely well engraved and gold accented by famed master Leonard Francolini. Embellished with triple gold barrelbands, large gold rampant colt, gold lettering, gold plated back strap and trigger guard, gold eye in wolfs head hammer.
High polished bluing and vivid case colors. Cased in an excellent French fit walnut one drawer case.The accessories are engraved with the name of the state. The grips are genuine ivory. Excellent condition, unfired. Colt issue price in 1978 was $12,500. . Current Blue Book has it valued at $8,500.
