Very interesting 91/38 Carcano short rifle chambered in 6.5X52MM Mannlicher-Carcano. This sniper rifle is nearly identical to the rifle used by Lee Harvey Oswald to assasinate President Kohn F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. Oswald purchased his rifle through the mail from Klein's Sporting Goods in Chicago fitted with the exact scope and mount as well as the sling. There is a world of information online about the assasination and the rifle used by Oswald, so I won't go into any great detail about it. Comparing this rifle to pictures of Oswald's rifle show that the scope is exactly the same in appearance and markings as well as the mount. The sling is also identical to Oswald's. There is a good chance that this rifle was purchased from Klein's in the same period. A very unusual piece of history that would be a great find for any Kennedy buffs out there.
