Description:
Designed in 1944 the .375 Weatherby Magnum is developed from the venerable .375 H&H Magnum. Purported to gain about 200 fps over the H&H cartridge it can reach 2800fps with 5125ft/lbs at the muzzle using a 300gr bullet. It is an all around appropriate African plains game cartridge and is overkill for all but the largest of North American game. Brass can be formed from .375 H&H brass fire formed in the chamber, load data is available from A-Square, Barnes and Hornady. Despite its gains over the H&H Magnum it was supplanted by the .378 Weatherby Magnum 8 years later in 1953. This rifle was made in Atascadero, CA sometime between 1995-2004. None
