Description:
I have an extremely rare opportunity for serious collectors.  An Erfurt 1914 artillery Luger in 9mm captured from Herman Goering. Many have heard of the Lugar pistols captured by the 36th infantry upon Goering’s surrender. However a large amount of personal belongings and artwork were recovered at the Mauterndorf Castle which Goering owned.  This Lugar has been in private hands since it’s capture in 1944. The following is the description of the pistol.

Erfurt 1914 Artillery Luger: Serial number # 7307 in 9mm. 8” artillery bbl with fine tune front sight and matching numbered sight blade. Fine tune multi-position rear sight. Full serial number on bottom of bbl. Imperial proof on left. 1914 date above chamber. Crown/ ERFURT on center toggle link. Full serial number on front of the frame. Numbered parts are allmatching down to the firing pin and the matching numbered checkered walnut grips. Imperial proof on the front of trigger guard. NON-factory plated finish on all parts (chrome, nickel, or platinum?) Such plating was popular however not easily obtainable! Wood bottom mag with original  “61” and has had the 4 digit serial number added to match the gun. The Luger is wrapped in a brown leather “A.DAHL/BAARMEN” 1915 Luger Artillery holster.  A rare part of this Luger is the original  Eagle/2 proofed Kreighoff takedown tool. The takedown tool alone brings extreme creditablilty that this Luger belonged to Göring!  Kreighoff was owned by Göring  and it is extremely rare to have a Kreighoff takedown tool! Excellent condition original cleaning rod with a “B” engraved on the side of the knob. Included in the provenance is the original “Capture Paper” by Bernard Schulingkamp stating “from Herman Goering” written on the paperwork.

There is a large amount of provenance that comes with the pistol including a rare book once called the “The Third Reich’s secret picture book”. Addtionally is the original capture paperwork, official order paperwork, large amount of research and photos. Please serious inquiries only!
