very rare interesting piece
Story as told by the owner:
Modified from a 1777 or 1822 French Infantry rifle by Herrmann Gunmakers in aarberg , Switzerland
Very nice checkering and rifled bore
Caliber is about 72
wood was lightly cleaned
mice mellow patina on parts
all parts stamped no. 16
one harline crack 3 inches long from top of forearm to metal cap
weight 15lbs
