Description:
Reproduction of the Revolutionary War Ferguson Breach Loading Flintlock Rifle, number 225 of 250 Limited Production.
One revoultion of the lever operating the screw breech opens access to the breech to load a 65 cal ball, followed by 55-60 grains of FFFG black powder.  Upon closing the screw breech enough powder will remain on the screw to tip into pan for priming, flip the frizzen closed, cock and fire.  Ferguson was killed on Kings Mountain.  HIstory may have been different but for his death as he had 100 men so armed with his rifle that could shoot up to 7 times a minute.  After his death his unit was disbanded.  Included are a display stand, bayonett, bag mold, leather strap, documentation, and Muzzle Blasts magazine from January 2000 featuring the rifle.
Number 27 sold at Amoskeag Aucions in 2011 for $8050.
