SWISS MODEL 1889 OR M1889 SCHIMDT RUBIN RIFLE BAYONET & SCABBARD FOR 1911 RIFLE BY NEUHAUSEN. Excellent untouched example with crisp "Waffenfabrik" over "Neuhausen" on ricasso. Serial number on guard refers to 1897 produced rifle that it accompanied. Unsharpened false edge correct. Fuller with correct ridge near ricasso for scabbard retention. Excellent wood grip panels held by rivets. Perfect wood to steel inletting attesting to it's Swiss craftsmanship. Muzzle ring for 15mm rifle(not carbine). Original patina throughout including scabbard with Swiss cross stamp on button tipped drag. Correct leather thong for frog retention. Would make a nice addition to Scmidt Rubin rifle.
