MINTY, FACTORY BOXED EARLY REMINGTON MODEL 51 .380 AUTO PISTOL, #30XXX, MADE 1920s , WITH HOLSTER AND EXTRA MAGAZINE. The Model 51 was only made from 1918-1934 and was considered one of the finest of the pre-war hammerless pocket autos. Only 54,500 were produced with the earlier production examples having 9 rear slide groves with the later production having 15. This example retains about all the original blue and has excellent factory Remington UMC marked grips. The original and correct factory box has all the printed Remington info in the inside of the lid as well as still retaining the large, two-sided broadsheet on the Model 51 showing disassembly/assembly instructions, etc. etc. There is also a separate pamphlet concerning warranty etc. from Remington. The box is in remarkably fine condition with all corners intact, no tears and only some flaking of the side labels. The black flap holster fits this model perfectly and has a pouch that contains a correct extra .380 marked magazine. Overall, a superb nearly 100 year old set, especially rare to retain the original paperwork provided by Remington!
