Description:
SOLD Pending Funds *** This Diana grade special order Superposed 2 barrel set is a wonderful example of the best Browning made. Created in 1965 and shipped on October 26 of that year, well before the salt problems had started, this beautiful hunting gun is truly a great product of the Belgian craftsmen at their peak of technical production, being possibly the only Diana grade hunting gun with two 28" barrels made. This gun was engraved by AM (Alfonse Marechal), a fantastic engraver. It has four ducks on the right side, five pheasants on the left, two flying partridge on the bottom and a pair of rabbits on the trigger guard. It sold for $918.10 to Montclair Sporting in Oakland, CA. This is a long tang gun with a nicely figured special ordered flat knob stock and displays 26 lines per inch with semi-beavertail forends on each barrel set to guide the gun to your target, very unique.  The stock is a 14-1/4" pull to the factory butt plate with standard Browning drop at the comb and heel. It has chokes of Full and Modified in one set of barrels and Modified and Improved Cylinder on the other set of 28" barrels both with 2-3/4" chambers and they are numbered to the gun. It weighs 7lbs. 6 ounces and is all factory original and still 93% of its overall condition. There are some handling marks from 56 years of occasional use. It comes in a high condition, clean  period Hartman case. Highly desirable and wonderfully built to last, the value of these high grade Superposed guns continues to rapidly rise so there's no better time than the present to buy one.
