"U.S. Springfield Model 1795 Type III. Lock plate is dated 1810, butt plate is dated 1811. Metal has been lightly cleaned at some point with some mottling. Breech plug tang has been repaired by a screw hole with weld. Stock is good, shows handling and usage wear. Has some chipped loss located at the rear of the lock. An old repair is located by the trigger.
