EARLY COLT MODEL 1849 PERCUSSION .31 CAL. 5 SHOT 6” POCKET REVOLVER CA. 1953. All original and matching including wedge with barrel having the early small two-line “New York” barrel address and the very tiny “COLTS/PATENT” frame stamp. Even all the screws are original. Very good overall with good markings including the “STAGECOACH HOLDUP” roll die engraved cylinder scene which is all there with light wear. Crisp metal with very nice dark original patina. Brass grip and back straps with much original silver. Original factory walnut grips with the original piano finish. Very tight working order. Cylinder has the original safety pins in good order. Loading lever which is numbered to the gun is missing the upper tiny tip of the catch mortice barely noticeable and an easy repair. $1450. Good bore. Nice early example.
