The Colt Single Action Army....otherwise known as the Colt "Peacemaker" is as AMERICANA as it gets. Originally the Model 1873 and adopted by the US Army, a person could purchase one out of a catalog for just $17. Her design was for close quarter fighting and it was said that an experienced gunman could hit any target within 15 yards. Considered "The Gunfighter's Gun" by many....as well as carried by some pretty famous tough-guys such as William Barclay "Bat" Masterson, Wyatt Earp, President Theodore Roosevelt and General George S. Patton, who famously said, "If you want to kill a man, use a revolver. If you want to make a lot of noise, use an automatic."
