Description:
ULTRA rare stainless steel barreled 300 Magnum (H&H) transition era Super Grade! I have only ever seen 3 such stainless 300s, and the other 2 were standard grade. S/N 77*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1948. This rifle is in excellent condition showing 97%-98% original Blue and Varnish. All correct SG components including proper deluxe stock, correctly stamped floorplate, Redfield gold bead front sight, and correct 1 1/4" swivels.
The rear sight is a factory option Lyman 48 WJS with long slide and target knobs. This rare sight is also in excellent condition with matching components and functions like new. The bore is excellent as are all mechanical functions and I have verified that the chamber remains 300 H&H and has never been reamed to Wby. Very likely a once in a lifetime opportunity at an extraordinary rifle which should enhance even the most advanced Model 70 collection!
