I'm listing another old 1873 Winchester, this one also has a factory 30" octagon with factory set trigger but in 38/40 and with serial number 167374 places it at 1884 Mfg. the museum check letter states the factory orders. thinning the herd is what I'm doing. This rifle is all original with better condition than the 44/40, bore is excellent, locks up tight , no drooping lever, just in real fine condition. I'm willing to deal if someone wanted to add both to your collection. These 38/40's came out ahead of the 32/20's so this is an early one for sure.no major cracks or gouges just some normal wear for a 137 year old rifle. I'll again state I ship USPS and they require a FFL or C&R regardless if it's an antique, it is a cartridge rifle.
