Description:
38 Special caliber. This one also has the seldom seen barrel address on the right side of the barrel. Colt factory replacement barrel made in the early 1950s. The overrun barrels from the NRA Guns were installed on regular production Colt SAAs. Thus the barrel markings on the right side of the barrel, and a rather scarce variation of the Colt 2nd Generation SAA.5-1/2" barrel. Hard rubber checkered grips are in fine condition. Mechanics are good. Mint bore. Gun is nickel plated. Barrel and receiver have been polished some. Backstrap has not been polished. Nickel is dull in that part and has "RFW" engraved on it. One of the last 1st Gen Colts made in 1923. Nice good looking scarce gun. A fine addition to any Colt collection!
