Description:
An Early Belgium Made Confederate Civil War Percussion Pistol With Swivel Ramrod Identified On The Backside To "CO. B, 5TH G.A. CAV." In Nice Untouched Condition. I just purchased this pistol alsong with 4 other pistols fresh out of a local house in the Marietta area. The Georgia 5th Cavalry had very good history during the civil war. The block letter identification was most likely done by the soldier, his family, or a Confederate Veterans Post after the war as a memorial. The pistol has fine original metal throughout with most of its original brown plum finish on it. The hammer is engraved. All ofthe brass hardware is fine and untouched with a dark mellow color. The wood has a burl to it and is fine throughout except for a hairline in the lower grip area. The pistol has a fine action including the swivel ramrod. The bore is .70 caliber. This Is A Nice Exmple Of A Confederate Civil War "5th Georgia Cavalry" Identified Percussion Pistol Fresh Out Of Marietta Georgia!
