Browning Citori 16 ga. QU Heritage Series.. This is a very, very special 16 ga. Citori, of the thousands of Citori 16 gauge O/U’s that were made there were only 100 ever built on a true 20 gauge frame and in additon to that fact, this is a lightweight “Feather” 20 gauge frame. The standard Browning Citori 16 gauge guns were built on a slightly larger proprietary 16 gauge frame. A little narrower than a 12 gauge and a little wider than a 20 gauge.
Quail Unlimited ordered 100 of these special Feather 20 gauge frame 16 gauge Citoris and Browning confirms this statement.
26” vent rib barrel with Browning Invector choke tubes. Grade 2/3 wood configured in a round knob field style. The receiver is handsomely embellished with the QU engraving pattern and just in front of the trigger guard is the unique engraving of “078 of 100”.
This gun appears to be "as new in the box" with a few very light handling marks on the buttstock finish and that’s it. If 16 has been fired, it was test fired only; meticulously cared for and maintained. So call the gun 99%. It has its original Browning box with extra choke tubes, choke tube wrench and the chamber blocks & tool.
The gun weighs a scant 5 lbs. 10 oz.!! The stock has a 14 ¼” LOP, 1 ½” DAC & 2 ¼” DAH and very slight cast favoring a right hand shooter.
