Description:
Serial #D321 (1366 / 5532), .577/.450 Martini, 33" barrel with a very good bore that has light pitting along its length. This rifle has an unmarked receiver, and has about 70-75% of the original blue remaining, with the balance faded to dark gray and plum-brown, especially along the rear hump of the frame. The barrel is maker marked at the knox form: "BARREL MANUFACTURED BY / DANL. FRASER & Co. EDINBURGH". The walnut buttstock and forend are in fine condition with scattered minor handling marks and minor blemishes in the added varnish, and there is a small silver escutcheon with previous owner's initials on the left side of the butt, and the ramrod is fairly bright gray overall. The action is tight and functions flawlessly. This is a very nice Martini-Henry, in fine-near excellent condition, and has a barrel made by the legendary Daniel Fraser. Antique
