Description:
This is the scarce Thompson Center .54 caliber Scout Carbine. Built by T/C, this light weight carbine is one of their early in-line style guns. Stocked in black walnut this gun has a short, 21" barrel that is rifled with a fast twist to shoot your .54 caliber Maxi balls, or other conical projectiles. This carbine features Thompson Center's QLA (Quick Load Accurizer) feature. The QLA is a relief of the rifling, the first inch of the barrel has no rifling, down in the breech, allowing loads to be easily started and quickly loaded. Weighing in at 7.0 pounds the rifle has a trigger reach of 14-3/4" and is well suited for today's average to larger size shooter. Very good original bkue, and action works well, with a 21" bore with frosting nearer the muzzle but not deeply pitted. Will spin a bullet good.When it ships it will have a ram-rod.
