Description:
A finely made American double black powder shotgun with no makers name or barrel proofs and 32" round barrels with brown patina exterior surface. The bore chokes are both IC on this fine 12ga. The hammers are matched and work well with the left nipple good and the right nipple more used and mashed. The lock-plates are chisel engraved, as are the trigger guard, and top tang. Very clean hand checkered American walnut wood that looks spectacular after all these years, Many of these were used in the Civil War as the begininng of the war was a shortage of servicable firearms available for use.Wood has tiger grain stripes and shows up well. Comes with an older oak ram-toad and and mustard yellow brass tip. Overall shows up well. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
