Description:
British Gunmaker J.W. Tolley 16ga sxs 65mm (2 1/2") with case. JW Tolley began in 1832 and continued to at least 1916. They were gun & rifle makers and began in Birmingham, UK, but there is also record they were in London from 1883 to 1903. This is a very fine example of a Birmingham Box Lock with ejectors, and a well contrasted and figured stock. Ser #9017 registers to 1895 - 1901 mfr. at 59 New Bond Street, London. Barrels NP - nitro proofed to 3 tons - Proof: LP/83 indicates 1983; 30" Damascus w/ 3rd fastener; swamped rib, ejectors, Anson & Deeley BLE. Rt barrel .663 bore, choke .645 (.018 - IM) Wall thickness varies .025-.030 ; Left barrel .673 bore, choke .643 (.030 - Full) Wall thickness varies .023-.025 ; 15-1/4 LOP; 1 1/2" DAC; 2" DAH, Leather butt pad. Must ship to FFL or C&R holder. Shipping and full insurance appx $75 from my FFL.
