Description:
An interesting Tower as marked on the lock-plate percussion long barrel, with a 39" round barrel with a .69/.70 caliber bore, and bore is clean except about 8" down from the muzzle is corrosion, and pits but down beyond that is clean. The tang has a raised rear sight and the front site is block shaped for a bayonet use. Comes with a button. trumphet shaped ram-rod and the action works well. Brass aged furniture, both sling swivels, and wood isvery good for age , with the right side having a round repaired or filled in circle , possibly a former military circle arsenal proof. Nipple is complete and good the top left breech of the barrel has worn English proofs about almost gone. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
