Description:
A.H. Fox 12 Gauge DE Grade. Has double trigger and automatic safety. Action is engraved with large acanthus with stippled backgrounds, has griffin heads on fences, and a grouse with chicks on bottom in circular vignette. The floral engraving on trigger plate is extremely well done. The side oval scenes have a snipe on left and a quail on the right along with ANSLEY H. FOX in banners. Matching trigger guard has a central shield on bow with a gold inlaid F and the serial number is gold inaid as well. Long splinter ejector forend has inset schnabeled ebony tip.
