Description:
Original Thompson 1921 Type "C" 100-Round magazine made by Auto-Ordnance Corp in the 1920's. These magazines are also known as Colt C-Drums and are highly sought after as only approximately 5,000 were known to be produced but a majority of those were sent overseas. One hundred years later a finite number of those remain. Due to the magazine's full loadout weight of approximately 9-10 lbs. magazines were constantly dropped, dented, dinged, and broken.
This magazine is an excellent example of an original Colt Era C-Drum magazine. The front and rear casing having matching serial #3805. The rotor is the original nickel finish. The body is in excellent condition with no dents and only a couple of small dings on the bottom (circled red in picture #7). The finish is very nice and free from rust or pitting.
This magazine would be a great add for any Thompson Collector.
