Sako Vixen. SN# 63109. Made in 1964. Up for sale is a very clean Sako Sporter chambered in the record setting .222 Remington. I say record seting because in the early 50s a new Sako rifle, fresh out of the box, set a new world record at a national benchrest competition. This beautiful balanced rifle is built on the L461 action, a perfect match for the small centerfire cartridges of the .222 family. The rifle is equipped with the 23 1/2" Bofors steel barrel with original sight ramp, blade, and hood. There is no import marking displayed on the under side of the barrel. A couple of light handling marks on the wood that don't show in the pictures. Add 35.00 freight and insurance. No Calif. buyers please.
