The barrel is marked "ACIER SPECIAL" which from our research indicates sale for the French market, and denotes "Special Steel". The receiver is marked Fabrique Nationale D'armes de Guerre Herstal Belgique. There are various markings on the receiver, bolt and barrel as pictured. Serial number of 148xx indicates manufacture in 1912.
