Description:
This is a custom rifle by RC Knipstein in .257 Roberts built on a 98 Mauser action. The action comes from the VC Schilling Company of Germany. This comppany is noted for fine guns for more than a century. The barrel is a Shilen select match in ss with a 9" twist at 22" length. The action has been fitted with a Timney Sportsman trigger. Materpiece iron sights from NECG have been added to the barrel. The stock is richly figured English Walnut that has been been hand finished and hand checkered. A Macassar Ebony forend cap and grip cap have been added as well along with a Fisher grip cap. A NECG Classic recoil pad has been added as well. The original military bolt shroud has been replaced by a shroud with a Winchester style 3 postion safety. A Fisher/Blackburn bottom metal/trigger guard/magazine has replaced the original.
