he Glenfield Model 30 .30-30 lever action carbine was produced by Marlin. It is mechanically the same rifle as the Marlin 336. Glenfield firearms were produced by Marlin to be marketed at slightly lower price point than Marlin branded rifle. To save money on the Glenfield rifle Marlin used hardwood stocks with or without pressed checkering instead of American walnut and cut checkering found on the Marlins. They dropped other embellishments to cut production cost gold plated triggers and white outline spacers. This rifle represents a real value in the current market. Manufactured 1967. .30-30 Winchester
