Ruger's Single Six Revolver, or "New Model Single Six", was first released in 1953 and features all the characteristics of classic handguns of the West. While maintaining the traditional, rugged and reliable look, Ruger updated the Single-Six Model to safely carry a fully loaded cyclinder, whereas, prior editions without a transfer bar safety mechanism. The smooth walnut grips house Ruger's medallions on each side. Under the cylinder assembly on the left-side reads "Ruger .22 cal Single-Six". This revolver combines modern safety mechanics, a traditional design and today's standards for accuracy, resulting in an overall high quality revolver.
