Description:
A H Fox FE 20 gauge SxS shotgun by CSMC. This is a stunning firearm, from the way it looks, to its configuration, to its craftsmanship, to the way it handles..a remarkable gun!
This is a two barrel set made-up of one set of 29” solid rib 20 gauge barrels choked .009” SK II and .016” Modified and one set of 27” solid rib 20 gauge barrels choked .002” Lt Sk I and .007” Lt. Sk II.
The gorgeous straight grip buttstock has a 14 ¾” LOP to the skeleton buttplate; 1 ½” DAC & 2 ¼” DAH with 3/8” right hand cast at the heel and ½” cast at the toe. The equally gorgeous forearm has a Deeley latch. Both the stock and forearms are intricately checkered in a fleur dis lis pattern.
The FE grade Fox engraving by their master, Anthony “Tony” Tuscano. The FE pattern has long been the epitome of A H Fox guns and this one carries on the legacy!
As you can see by the photos this gun is almost “as new”. It has been fired a little, but it was taken care of with pride and kept in near perfect condition. I acquired this gun from the original owner who ordered the gun new from CSMC. The name “PETE” in on the stock escutcheon, the original owners name. Not only is this a one owner it is in most regards bespoke and quite unique. Most barrels on these guns are 26”, 28” or 30”; with this gun’s barrels special ordered at 27” & 29”. The stock dimensions are fairly “normal” with the exception of the extra stock cast, which for me fits great!
The gun is cased in CSMC’s best leather two-barrel case with canvas cover and accessories. It weighs 6 lbs. 1 oz. with the 27” barrels and 6 lbs. 4 oz. with the 29” barrels.
